How does it work?
To get started on the site all you have to do is:

2) Upload a photo
3) Get searching for other single Christians! When you see someone you like, you've got 2 options. Option 1 is to send them a 'Wink' to let them know you've been checking them out. Option 2 is for the brave, 'Send An Email'! Introduce yourself and ask some questions.
That's it! Once you've spent time getting to know someone that's when you (or they) might suggest going on a date. And what happens after that is, well, up to you. Is that wedding bells I hear? What makes this different from other Christian dating sites?
Our registration system is different to any other dating site out there. When you start your site membership registration you'll be asked to enter your date of birth & email address (these NEVER appear on the website). You will also have to enter the name and address of the church you attend, the church's phone number and/or email address and a contact name of someone in a leadership position. This could be the church pastor, a deacon, a cell leader, worship leader etc. Someone with authority in the church who knows you personally.
Other Half will be doing random membership checks by contacting churches to authenticate site users as attending members of a church. If the church leadership verify you as a regularly attending member of sound character and faith, then fantastic! - you can continue using the site. If for any reason the feedback from the church is unfavourable for you to use the Other Half dating site we will block your profile until the issue has been resolved or an appeal against the profile is successful.
If you're not happy about your church knowing that you're on a dating website, then perhaps Other Half isn't the site for you. We would rather have fewer genuine members than lots of bogus ones. And I'm sure you as a member would too.
Do I have to upload a photo?
No you don't, but the first thing people do when they join a dating site is to browse the member photos. If you're serious about finding someone on the site we highly recommend uploading a photo to give yourself the best chance of being discovered.

The Other Half site will always be developing and expanding. The text message notification service is something we're hoping to launch some time in the future.

Yes, you can using the OtherHalf Instant Messenger (IM).
What happens when my membership runs out?
Your profile will still be active, but you will no longer be able to send or reply to emails or send winks to other members. To activate these feautres again all you have to do is click on the 'Upgrade' link from your profile.
